Troubled England football legend Paul Gascoigne has been an addict to gambling for months and began frequenting betting shops near his ex-wife Sheryl's home after returning to the UK from US, recently blowing away 4000 pounds within hours.
According to the Daily Star, it became his new addiction just days after returning from rehab earlier this year.
The ex-Newcastle United, Spurs and Rangers star fell off the wagon in July and was fined 1,000 pounds for a drunken assault on a train guard, the report said.
A drunken Gazza was ejected from the Coral shop in Boscombe, near his Bournemouth flat, after blowing 4,000 pounds within hours.
A pal close to Gazza's family said that the star is desperately trying to find something to do to keep his mind off drink, adding that a betting shop was a dangerous place to be when someone was drunk.
