Gbenga Akinnagbe set to star in 'Independence Day 2'

Gbenga Akinnagbe has been added to the star cast of Roland Emmerich's action sequel 'Independence Day 2.'

The 36-year-old will play Agent Travis, a Secret Service agent detailed to former President Whitmore (Bill Pullman), Deadline.con has reported.

Liam Hemsworth, Sela Ward, Jeff Goldblum and Maika Monroe also star in the movie, which sees the return of a hostile alien species determined to destroy the human race and the Earthlings who use intelligence, technology and experience to fight to save mankind.
