George Lucas has recently revealed that he started to develop the new 'Star Wars' trilogy and wanted to direct 'Star Wars
Lucas had reportedly expected to release Episode VII in May 2015 before selling the company, the Verge reported.
The 70-year-old told USA Today, that he knew a third trilogy was a 10-year commitment at least, so when Disney came along and expressed interest in buying Lucasfilm, he grabbed the opportunity and closed the deal on October 2012.
The American film director's separation from making the movies means that he can finally live his dream: being able to watch them.
