United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP) leader Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri has said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan will not get their due rights even if Pakistan declares it as fifth province.
He alleged that this decision of Pakistan proves they only want to get hold of the area at any cost.
Shaukat said this decision would be an injustice to the people of the region.
He said Pakistan only wants to occupy the land as they are not interested in the people of the region.
Pakistan is planning to declare Gilgit-Baltistan region as its fifth province.
The Gilgit-Baltistan area is Pakistan's northernmost administrative territory that borders the disputed Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
A committee headed by Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz recommended to grant the region a provincial status, reports the GeoNews.
Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh are four provinces of Pakistan.
