Former England skipper Graham Gooch has slammed Eoin Morgan-led side for showing lack of fight during their heavy 111-run defeat against Australia in the World Cup opener in Melbourne.
England conceded 105 runs in the final 10 overs as swashbuckling batsman Glenn Maxwell smacked a brisk 66 off just 40 balls.
Reflecting on England's performance, Gooch said that there was no disgrace in defeat, but the way they racked up runs was embarrassing, the BBC reported.
England will next meet New Zealand on Friday in Wellington.
