Former Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Barkha Shukla Singh on Wednesday said the rape incident that took place in Gohana, Haryana, was extremely unfortunate, adding the judiciary must pronounce its order in such cases without any delay.
"This is very unfortunate. The government should look into this matter and arrest the guilty and strictly punish them," Singh told ANI.
"Until and unless the guilty found in rape cases will not be immediately hanged till death, incidents like this are not going to stop," she added.
On Tuesday, a 16-year old girl was reportedly raped and her 15-year old sister was molested in Baroda Mor village in Sonepat's Gohana by their distant cousin and two other men.
Three people have been booked so far in connection with this case.
