A goods train derailed on the Jammu-Pathankote railway route in Kathua, leading to disruption of traffic, on Sunday.

Senior Divisional Traffic Manager of Jammu, R.M. Mina, told the media that the goods train derailed due to technical fault.

"The three boogies of the goods train derailed at around 6 a.m. due to shunting movement in Kathua. It was a technical fault. The movement of the goods and passenger train will be restored shortly," he said.

Mina denied any involvement of militants and said that further investigations are on.
