Government sanctions Rs.996 crores for research and development in power sector

An investment of Rs.996 crores for research and development in the power sector has been earmarked by the Ministry of Power.
In a release, the government said this investment would be allocated for capital projects of the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI).
The focus would be on developing advanced testing facilities at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkota, Guwahati, Noida, Nagpur and Nasik, the release added.
