While Madhuri Dixit Nene and Juhi Chawla are busy promoting their forthcoming women-centric drama 'Gulaab Gang,' a new documentary, titled 'Gulabi Gang,' that has touched the same issue, is set to release on 21st February in theatres.
The Nistha Jain-helmed documentary is based on the fiery women Sampat Pal who is the central force behind this group and who takes up the fight against gender violence, caste oppression and widespread corruption in Bundelkhand region of central India.
Jain explained the question that the film brings forth for the Indian society.
"The film deals with and presents the reality and is also posing many relevant questions, we are not ready to pay for it. So the main question posed towards our society is whether we are looking forward for a change in our society and how much are we ready to work on the same," she said.
