The Gurgaon Police arrested 75 molesters in three hours from outside malls and bus stands as part of their 'Operation Romeo Free' campaign last night.
The police conducted the drive at the MG Road area and arrested the molesters' eve-teasing women at bus stands, malls and metro stations.
Gurgaon ACP Dharna Yadav said that they employed the old method of putting women police officers in plain clothes in front of the malls in Gurgaon and eventually the molesters fell into the trap and passed lewd remarks at them.
"Most of the molesters, who were arrested, were found drunk," she said.
The Gurgaon Police had earlier arrested more than hundred molesters in their drive conducted on September 26 and October 10.
The sad fact that arises out of this incident is that despite punishment, men are not mending their ways. However, the Gurgaon Police has now decided to conduct this drive on a regular basis so that the situation can be improved in the cyber city.
