Liverpool have been warned they must persuade Luis Suarez to fully commit to them for the long term, according to reports.
According to Metro.co.uk, Reds managing director Ian Ayre is holding talks with the striker's advisers in Barcelona over a new deal, six months after he agitated for a move.
Former Liverpool man Dietmar Hamann says the free-scoring star needs to be wholehearted in his commitment to the club, the report added.
He added that what must not happen is a similar situation next summer as happened with last summer when there were disputes over his future.
