Rolling Stones' member Ronnie Wood has admitted that he always knew he would be in the band one way or another.

The 67-year-old rocker, who joined the band in 1975 after stints performing with The Birds, The Faces and the Jeff Beck Group, told NME in an interview that it only showed that one can set their sights on something and get it, if one works hard enough, the Mirror reported.

The Brit musician also "feels sorry" for modern musicians who aspire to instant success because he thinks the "grind" of performing hundreds of small shows is what it was all about.
