Haryana Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Thursday expressed concern over the Gurugram school bus attack incident and said that they would soon find a solution to it.

Speaking to media, he said, "It is a worrying incident and I am sure there will be a solution to this whole issue today. We had no idea that something like this would happen."

The situation became tensed in Haryana's Gurugram yesterday after the people, protesting against the film Padmaavat hurled stones at the bus, which was ferrying students, teachers and staff of GD Goenka World School.

"As soon as we came out of the school the bus was attacked. Even the police could not control them. The children somehow took cover inside the bus," said a school staff.

The attack was condemned by both Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Meanwhile, Section 144 has been imposed in Gurugram, which will be in effect until January 28.

In some states, including Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana, the members of Karni Sena and other fringe outfits have resorted to burning posters and vandalising the ticket counter of the movie theaters.

Meanwhile, security forces have been deployed at various multiplexes in several states across the nation to ward off any untoward incidents.
