Chelsea's ace striker Diego Costa, who has scored seven goals in his first four games at the club, is ready to win physical battles with sturdy Premier League defenders.

Two weeks ago the Spaniard had a run in with Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard and in Saturday's game, the Spaniard was constantly at war with Swansea City's defenders, while scoring his first hattrick for Chelsea.

Chelsea maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with the Swansea win after falling behind and Costa has now equalled Micky Quinn's record of scoring in his first four Premier League games. Quinn did it for Coventry in 1992, The Daily Express reported.

Costa said that the central defenders in England are very strong, but added that if he has to have a physical battle, then he can fight. He said that if he has to play with quality, he can do that too.

The striker said that it is not easy, but added that things are going well for the team and he is trying to do his best. He said that there are differences to the game in Spain but he is adapting very well and what helps is that there are other new players also adapting.

The Spaniard said that the key is the group they have, adding that it is like a family. He said that the squad and all the people around the team are united in their cause and they are working together and things are going very well.

Costa said that the coach is well aware of the strengths of the players he has, adding that he designs the style and he plans games to suit his players.

Costa also said that a striker has to score and he is happy that he has a little place in history with this record, adding that he has to keep working to keep this up.
