Mills, who is the former wife of Paul McCartney, was told that the new prosthetic she was using hasn't been ratified by the governing body, News.com.au reported.
IPC spokesman Craig Spence said that the 45-year-old athlete flew into a rage when she confronted ski committee head Sylvana Mestre at a team captains' meeting in a hotel in Austria.
Spence revealed that Mills swore at the official and said that she would make her life hell.
He added that Mestre has been deeply upset and traumatized by the incident, which was witnessed by 10 other people.
Mills is likely to be fined up to 1000 euros and the incident will be referred to the IPC's legal and ethics committee for its consideration.
