Heavy rainfall anticipated in TN: MeT Dept

The MeT Department on Tuesday informed the residents of Tamil Nadu that heavy rainfall is expected in the state and its coastal regions in the coming days.

"There is a higher chance of heavy downpour in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu and in the coastal regions in the next 24 hours," told Tamil Nadu Met Department Director Dr S Balachandran.

The state has been witnessing incessant rainfall for the past few days and the trend is likely to continue.

In the last 24 hours, fairly widespread rainfall has been recorded all over Tamil Nadu.
