Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday presented the Union Budget for fiscal 2014-15 in the Lok Sabha.

The highlights are as follows:

Government proposes to spend Rs.150 crores on new scheme to improve safety of women in big cities

Government to launch 'Beti Bacahao Beti Padahao Yojna' - Rs.100 allocation

Government to focus more on health sector and will set up institute of excellence

Government to set up national level institute for mental health to be set up
