Home Secretary releases two publications of BPR and D

Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami on Thursday released two publications of Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR and D) on "Data on Police Organisations in India 2013" and "Compendium on Projects of National Police Mission''.

'Data on Police Organisations in India' is the flagship publication of BPR and D and an authentic reference book for Police, Researchers, Policymakers and other stakeholders containing important data on Police and Policing in the country which includes chapters on strength of Police, Police -Population Ratio, Police Housing, Transport, Police communication, Women Police etc.

'Compendium on Projects of National Police Mission' contains various projects of Community Policing, Community Counseling Centers, Police-Community Partnership, Transparent Recruitment Process, Support to Police Stations, Communication and Technology, etc. to improve the policing in the States and UTs with details of seven Micro Missions under National Police Mission (NPM).

Rajan Gupta, Director General BPR and D, senior officers of MHA and BPR and D were present during the function.
