Homework is an important tool to help children practice and review the lessons taught in school, but the very thought of completing the work on time can be sometimes daunting for your child.

You can help your child to develop his interest in completing her homework and assignments by making it a stress-free exercise.

Parents India magazine has come up with some useful tips to make homework hassle free for your child.

It was suggested that allocating specific place for doing homework can help you child concentrate on the topics. Ensure that the area or the study room is well-ventilated and sufficiently illuminated, with ample natural light. Provide a comfortable table and chair, provide everything he might need.

Parents should allow their child to select the stationery items, including pencils, erasers, ruler, writing paper, dictionary etc. of his choice, by doing so children will take keen interest in doing the homework without getting deviated from the things around him.

Other things that parents can do is establishing a homework routine for their kids, getting involved in their child's homework and monitoring it daily.

It is important to praise your children's efforts that they put in doing their homework and their attempts to work independently.
