Housejoy launches 'movers and packers', 'documentation' support services

On-demand home services company Housejoy on Tuesday announced the launch of two new services - 'Movers and Packers' and 'Documentation support' in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Housejoy caters to a variety of home and personal requirements, right from getting a car cleaned, appliances installed, pest control done, to availing doorstep laundry and salon services.

With the two new services, Housejoy aims to further ease the experience of their consumers.

"The Housejoy platform will help customers get access to verified, trained and reliable moving and packing professionals. Our rates are also more reasonable comparatively," said Rashi Lachhwani, Vice President Category, Housejoy.

"Our experts will provide quality support to customers in need of documentation services ranging from applying for a passport to filing IT Returns. The service providers will collect the documents and process the request on customers' behalf, while they go about their regular work," she added.

Through Housejoy, the movers and packers will pack, load, unload and unpack, ensuring 100 percent quality standards. Once an individual moves into the new house, he/she can avail additional services that are essential to relocation needs such as home cleaning, painting, appliance and furniture installation, repairs and fixes or pest control.

With the recent implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Housejoy's new Documentation services help users get their GST documents in place.

It also assists with tasks like applying for a pan card, passport, Income Tax returns and so on, on the customer's behalf.

Housejoy's professionals collect the necessary document proofs from the consumer's doorstep and execute the work on their behalf.
