With looks as 'hot' as fire and millions of fans, he may be one of B-Town's ruling star but the handsome Fawad Khan has recently revealed that acting to him was just a source to make money.

"I couldn't make money out of coding. I was a terrible computer engineer. I was down and I became an actor to make money," said the 34-year-old actor while accepting the best film award for his romantic drama 'Kapoor and sons' at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

While his co-stars Alia and Sidharth were in America for the Dream Team Tour, the 'Khoobsurat' actor was accompanied by Rishi Kapoor and the director of the flick.

"I think being honoured with this award, not just on this platform, but also on so many other Indian platforms, goes to show how much love and warmth there is in the audience all around the world,'' added Fawad in his thanksgiving speech.

The actor will next be seen in the much anticipated 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' along with Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Anushka Sharma.
