ICG, Navy undertakes search operation to trace missing Dornier aircraft

Over five Indian Coast Guard ships, four naval ships and their respective aircrafts have undertaken a search operation to trace the Dornier aircraft which has gone missing.

The aircraft, which took off from Chennai Airport on Monday evening, was carrying three personnel onboard, and went missing shortly after it took off.

According to reports, the aircraft took off at 6.30 p.m. yesterday from Chennai and was supposed to land in Pondicherry.

The Indian Navy and the Coast Guard have launched full scale search and rescue operations to look for the aircraft.
