India, UAE considering important agreements

New Delhi, Feb. 11 (ANI): India and the UAE have excellent relations and there are several agreements on the anvil to elevate the bilateral ties to the next level.

A significant agreement is about setting up of UAE's strategic oil reserves in India, which should get revenue in oil. The UAE will have the liberty to supply its oil to anyone from these one or two facilities. In fact, sources in Abu Dhabi told India Strategic that the UAE already has the expertise to establish massive oil storage facilities, which are among the largest in the world.

One such facility is in Fujrairah on the Arabian Sea.

Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said on the occasion that India was discussing the construction of strategic petroleum storage in Karnataka's Mangaluru with the assistance of the UAE's Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). He indicated that the discussions were in an advanced stage.

The importance of this visit is signified by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's high-level delegation, which includes Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Saqr bin Ghubash Saeed Ghubash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Bana, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of India, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Major-General Staff Pilot, Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alaw, Commander of Air Force and Air Defence, and a number of senior state officials.

Indian Ambassador to the UAE T.P Seetharam and UAE's Ambassador to India Ahmed Al-Banna are part of the respective delegations.
