Amid reports of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's likely visit to Pakistan to attend a conference, Pakistan Ambassador to India Abdul Basit on Friday said that they are yet to get confirmation in this regard from the Indian government.
"We have not got confirmation yet," the Pakistan Envoy told exclusively to ANI when asked about Swaraj's participation in the conference on Afghanistan to be held in Islamabad.
If Swaraj visits Pakistan then it will be the first bilateral visit at the Foreign Minister's level to Pakistan under the NDA government.
Heart of Asia conference, which will discuss regional cooperation on Afghanistan, is scheduled to begin in Islamabad on December 9.
India has been invited for the conference. But, the MEA has not yet given any indication as to who will represent India there.
