The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Thursday said that it was important for both India and Pakistan to continue the Director General (DG)-level talks starting here today.
"The civilians and the soldiers are getting killed on the border, so the DG-level talks will play an important role in ensuring peace at the border," NCP general secretary Tariq Anwar told ANI.
"The talks must be continued to resolve the tensions on our border can be resolved," he added.
The Director General level talks between India's Border Security Forces (BSF) and Pakistan's Rangers (PR) is scheduled to take place here.
BSF Director General DK Pathak will meet his counterpart PR chief Major General Umar Farooq Burki to discuss the controversial issues between the two forces.
