The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly made an appeal to the International Cricket Council (ICC), seeking an extension of date for conducting the bio-mechanics test of Mohammad Hafeez's bowling action.

Hafeez was scheduled to appear for the bowling test on February 6 in Brisbane, Australia.

According to the Dawn, the PCB said that the all-rounder had suffered an injury and couldn't appear for the test to assess the legality of his action.

As a result of the delay, Hafeez would reportedly not be able to bowl during Pakistan's World Cup opener against arch-rivals India on February 15 and against West Indies on February 21.

The seasoned all-rounder was suspended from bowling with immediate effect after the ICC ruled his action was illegal.

The ICC has set the permissible limit of 15 degree as the legal level for bowlers to bend their arms.

Earlier, Hafeez had failed to clear the second bio-mechanics test conducted to assess the legality of his bowling action in a lab in Chennai.
