As Instagram announced its decision to allow users to hashtag emojis, it has left out an emoji that was universally used as a code for penis- the aubergine.
The photo-sharing app seemed to have deciphered the innuendo that was widely associated with the emoji and feared that it could now be used to tag "dick pics" on the platform, reported The Verge.
The network said in a blog post that the new emoji hastags could be added to photos, videos and could also be searched on the Explore page.
The feature was rolled out as part of an update to the iOS and Android app.
