Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has backed Misbah-ul-Haq's side to play a fearless cricket, saying the team has the potential to spring surprises despite limitations in the upcoming World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Pakistan's World Cup squad doesn't feature seasoned off-spinner Saeed Ajmal and the team has been grappling with injuries to their fast bowlers.
The 1992 World Cup winner said that in the 1992 World Cup despite losing six matches, Imran Khan never allowed them to lose hope or hang their heads, adding that they remained positive and the end result was that they emerged as upset winners of the competition, the Dawn reported.
Inzamam further said that he would still advise our players not to fear defeat and to remain positive even if they lose a few matches.
Inzamam added that if they remain positive and play without fear of defeat he was sure the team, like the one in 1992, could surprise many people.
