Barbie and Ken may be facing a strain in their relationship as she is "super busy" and has "a lot going on".
During a Barbie and CFDA Fashion Lounge VIP party, a Mattel executive hinted that the pair isn't together but added that "Ken is always one of her dear friends", the New York Post reported.
Senior director of marketing, Liz Grammp, said that the recently-launched Instagram @barbiestyle should help in deciphering their relationship status, but the page shows not a single photo of Ken.
The plastic pair started dating in 1961 and called off their relationship in 2004, but they again got back together on Valentine's Day in 2011, however, it seems like Barbie isn't ready to settle down as yet.
Grammp added that Barbie has got a lot going on, just like every girl.
The event celebrated creations for Barbie from five designers, like Charlotte Ronson and Cynthia Vincent, in honor of the new Barbie Fashion Design Maker doll and app.
