According to the Sun, the 'Casino Royale' star has already filmed the mystery role, but it is not yet clear if the actor's face will even be seen on screen.
Sources said that the 46-year-old actor was close friends with Abrams and the actor asked for some sort of secret cameo ole.
The rumors sparked when Craig was spotted hanging out in the dressing room of star Carrie Fisher, who is returning to the franchise as Princess Leia.
