The Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) has denied reports the Taliban and Pakistan Army swapped prisoners.

Media reports said that the Taliban and the army exchanged prisoners as a confidence-building measure ahead of possible peace talks.

Intelligence officials and a militant commander said that the exchange included six militants and two Frontier Corps soldiers, and took place in the Shawal area of South Waziristan, the Daily Times reports.

According to the report, the militants were reportedly taken to neighbouring North Waziristan after the exchange.
