Phil Spectors, who created the "Wall of Sound," now has a "wall of silence" in his life as he has reportedly lost his ability to speak in jail.
Legendary music producer lost the use of his voice nine months ago and was reported to be in a "very dangerous" situation in prison, the Mirror reported.
The 74-year-old was moved from Corcoran prison, famous for housing serial killer Charles Manson, to the California Health Care Facility in Stockton, California, at the end of October 2013.
However, despite being moved there to help treat his "many maladies", Spector's health has deteriorated close to a crisis point.
Chuck Sevilla, lawyer, said that Spector has lost a lot of weight and has been unable to speak for nine months due to polyps in his throat which health care officials keep telling him they're going perform surgery on but haven't done it yet.
Spector, who has produced some of the 20th century's greatest pop music including the Beatles seminal album 'Let It Be', was sentenced 19 years to life in prison in May 2009 for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.
