The Pakistani security forces on Wednesday unleashed heavy firing across the Line of Control (LoC) along the border in Poonch Sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Violating the ceasefire agreement between the two countries, the Pakistan troops initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars.
Prompting to the continuous firing, the Indian Army retaliated strongly.
Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire at least three times in this month.
The last incident of ceasefire was reported on Monday, September 11.
