Two Army personnel were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion that took place near the LoC in Naushera sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
According to the Army PRO, an Army officer and a soldier, who got grievously injured, were immediately provided medical aid. however, they succumbed to the injuries.
In another incident of unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Sunderbani Sector, an Army porter named Hemraj was shot at and critically injured. He was provided immediate resuscitation and medical aid; however, he later succumbed to the gunshot wounds.
Army authorities have promised all possible assistance to the family of the slain Army Porter.
Elsewhere in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists lobbed a grenade at Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) platoon near Lal Chowk in Srinagar. No loss of life or injury was reported from the attack.
