Japan Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida will be paying a three-day official visit to India starting January 16, travelling at the invitation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
During his trip, Kishida and Swaraj will co-chair the eighth India-Japan Strategic Dialogue, where the two leaders will review all aspects of the bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Economic relations between India and Japan have vast potential for growth and Tokyo's interest in New Delhi is increasing due to variety of reasons. The signing of the historic India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and its implementation from August 2011 has further accelerated growth of trade, economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
