A Chinese woman, who had left her abusive husband months ago, was rushed to the hospital after he saw her with her new beau and gouged out her left eye with his bare hand out of jealousy.
According to Want China Times, the 39-year-old woman was forced into marrying the man because she owed him money and he had threatened to harm her family, News.com.au reported.
But, after months of beatings and abuse the woman fled to her home city and started dating a new man.
Soon her husband found her with her new boyfriend and attacked the man.
When the woman intervened he began beating her and then gouged out her eye, which could not be reattached.
Later, the attacker was arrested after he called the police to confess his crime.
