Joaquin Phoenix has confessed that he feels terrified when fans approach him, as he is not accustomed to the celebrity-life.
The 39-year-old actor told Britain's Event magazine that he feels scared and overwhelmed, while dealing with members of the public who recognise him from his films.
The 'Walk The Line' star said that he could imagine it in the case of an actor like Johnny Depp, who for years has had such a level of fame that he is somewhat accustomed to it.
Phoenix said that he has managed to avoid it to the extent that he feels overwhelmed when sometimes he gets trapped in situations that he doesn't know how to deal with.
