Australian pace sensation Mitchell Johnson has revealed that he not only enjoys bruising opponents but also feeling sore himself.

Johnson took 37 English wickets at a cost of just 14 runs apiece to plunge the tourists into crisis in the Ashes and now can take Australia to the top of the ICC's one-day rankings if he helps them inflict another humiliation on England over the coming fortnight.

According to the Mirror, Johnson, who destroyed Alastair Cook's team during Australia's Ashes whitewash, said that he has loved sharing England's pain this winter, adding that a major attraction of Test cricket is the physical toll it takes on fast bowlers.

The left-arm paceman, who has been excused from the opener in a five-match one-day series to spend time with his family, further said that he loves the challenge of a Test match and what it does to a player's body, adding that in order to survive, a player has to look after himself.

Stating that he likes the feeling of soreness, Johnson also said that it is both a physical and mental effort to get through the pain, adding that sometimes, the pain got better as he entered the field and started bowling.
