Justin Bieber has revealed that his relationship with his mom Pattie Mallette has cooled off over the recent years but it is getting better.
In a cover story with Billboard, the 22-year-old singer said that he had been distant from his mom because he was ashamed, adding that he never wanted his mom to be disappointed in him and the 'Sorry' singer knew that she was, Us Magazine reports.
The pop star said that they spent some time not talking to each, so it takes time to rebuild that trust, adding "she's living in Hawaii now, so it's hard, but getting better. She's an amazing woman and I love her."
In a brief period, the 'Boyfriend' singer faced many controversial situations, which included arguments with his neighbors, a nightclub brawl, and a sighting at a brothel in Rio de Janeiro and was even arrested in Maimi.
Mallette gave birth to Justin when she was 17 years old and raised him alone. She is credited with nurturing her son's talent since he was a young.
Agent Scooter Braun discovered Bieber when Mallette entered him into a talent contest.
