Unknown motorcycle-riding assailants shot dead a homoeopathic doctor here on Saturday.
Karachi Police said that the attack took place at the doctor's clinic in Karachi's Nazimabad area.
The Dawn quoted Senior Superintendent of Police (Central) Captain Chaudhry Asad Ali, as saying that Dr Anwar Ali Abidi and another person sustained injuries in the attack, and the former had succumbed to his injuries.
The body is undergoing medico-legal formalities at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital before being handed over to the family.
