A youth from Kerala, who had left home to join the Islamic State last year, has been killed, according to the message received by his family.
The youth has been identified as 23-year-old Marwan Ismail, a resident of Trikaripur. The message reportedly had just one line which said Marwan was "martyred", in a drone attack along with a few others.
Marwan's family has said he left home to join the ISIS in May 2016 as part of a 21-member group. He was suspected to be in Nangarhar, a province in Afghanistan partially controlled by the terrorist organisation.
