With seven trekkers having gone missing in Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel have launched a massive search operation to rescue the stranded victims in the Chandrakhani pass.
The missing people, including one guide and seven trekkers, went missing in the Manali Chandrakhani trekking route and the ITBP has launched three teams from Patnikhal, Bijli Mahadev and Malana village to search for them.
The trekkers, who are final year BTech students of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) in Longowal, were on a private trip when the disaster struck.
However, the rescue operations are facing severe hurdles due to the bad weather being caused by heavy rain in the region.
