Snow clearing operations on the Manali-Leh road at Rohtang started on Saturday following heavy snowfall in the state.
A heavy snowfall had lashed Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Uttrakhand on Friday, disrupting traffic in the areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also predicted that rain accompanied by snowfall was likely to take place at isolated places of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir for the next 24 hours.
Kullu is a famous tourist spot and snow is a major attraction for tourists in the city.
