Lady Gaga will star in, compose and perform new music for a remake of the classic musical, 'A Star Is Born.'
The film, whose production will begin early next year, will also feature Bradley Cooper, marking his directorial debut, reports the Deadline.
The film marks the 30-year-old singer's first major role in a feature film, though she has accumulated numerous acting credits over the years with turns in 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,' 'Machete Kills and American Horror Story,' for which she won a Golden Globe.
Gaga was roped in after things didn't work out with Beyonce.
