Lindsay Lohan has been hospitalized in London with a rare virus called Chikungunya.

According to TMZ.com, the 28-year-old actress contracted Chikungunya, a virus transmitted by mosquito bites that causes fever, joint pain and fatigue.

The American actress began complaining of the illness just before New Year's and she then went back to London where she became so ill she couldn't walk.

According to reports, the doctors are keeping Lohan because she has a high fever and the joint pain is unbearable.

Lohan reportedly picked up the incurable virus whilst filming an ad for Super Bowl in Bora Bora.
