Lindsay Lohan has opened up about her time in prison saying that she was locked in a solitary wing in a cell which shared walls with convicts who had murdered because prison staff thought her celebrity status may make her a target of inmate violence.
During her appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, the 'Mean Girls' star said that solitary confinement is actually very different, you leave your cell for one hour a day and you don't go outside and she doesn't think anyone knows that but the other girls in the other cells were in there for murder, the Daily star reported.
The 28-year-old actress, who is currently starring on the West End stage in Speed-the-Plow, served 14 days of a 90-day jail sentence in 2010 for breaking the terms of her probation after pleading guilty to using cocaine and driving under the influence.
Lohan described her time in prison as "scary" and said that the weirdest part for her was that she finally had silence in her life, and as terrified as she was, she finally felt like she didn't have to answer to anyone and didn't have to do anything for anyone.
