Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has defended her shopping date with hotelier Vikram Chatwal, who was recently busted for heroin possession, as she thinks of it as a positive step for her recovery.
Sources revealed that Lohan denies that hanging out with Chatwal, who has an even more checkered past with drugs than her, puts her in danger of a relapse, TMZ.com reported.
The 27-year old 'Mean Girls' actress considers the 41-year old hotelier as good company because he's been through several rehab stints and is currently in recovery.
But multiple drug counselors from reputable clinics believe that LiLo is putting herself in harm by hanging with old friends connected to her partying ways.
Most counselors consider recovering addicts hanging out with another addict as highly risky, especially when it's been a short stretch since they got out of rehab.
It has been 22 days since LiLo has been out of rehab and Chatwal was busted for drug possession in April but avoided jail by agreeing to 12 months of in-patient rehab.
