Star Wars live-action TV series, which is popularly called 'Star World Underworld', has been in the pipeline for a long time now due to financial crunches. However, speculations are rife that this show could potentially be made by ABC and Disney's Lucasfilm.
Responding to questions on whether a Star Wars show was on the cards or not, ABC network's entertainment president Channing Dungey confirmed that talks are going on between ABC and Lucasfilm about it, reports The Independent.
"As a fan, I would absolutely love to say yes. We have had conversations, and we will continue to have conversations with Lucasfilm. It would be wonderful to extend the franchise," said the 47-year-old first African American president of the group.
Dugney added though the talks are on, it is definitely at a very early stage with no timeline on when a Star Wars show might actually begin the production.
Meanwhile, a new director has been roped in to helm 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'.
