Terror suspects Atif and Danish were on Thursday arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the Lucknow terror operation.
Sources in the NIA said the arrested duo will be taken to Kanpur and other places in Uttar Pradesh by the investigating agency for further investigation.
Uttar Pradesh's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) had earlier on March 14 handed over the Lucknow terror operation probe to the NIA.
Terror accused Saifullah, who holed up inside a house in the outskirts of Lucknow at Thakurganj locality on March 8 was killed by the commandos following a 12-hour long anti-terror operation.
The police claimed that the suspected militant's body was found with weapons lying next to him.
They recovered eight pistols, three passports, more than 600 cartridges, bomb-making instruments, timers, wires, compass etc.
Additional Director General of Police, Daljeet Chaudhary, said after the operation that the youth was self-radicalised and influenced by 'literature'.
"These days, people self-radicalise themselves. They read their literature and come under its influence. Also, they follow social media for the same," Chaudhary told the media.
