Barcelona star striker Luis Suarez has signed a new five-year contract that will keep him at Camp Nou until June 2021, with a buy out clause of 200 million Euros inserted.
Suarez's new deal came following the announcement by Barcelona in October that Brazilian star Neymar had signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2021, featuring a 250 million euros buyout clause.
The 29-year-old has been in prolific form since moving to Barcelona from Liverpool in 2014, having scored a total of 97 goals in 116 appearances he made, Sport24 reported.
Suarez, who is part of the forward line at Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar, inspired the Spanish giants win a treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League in his first season before a domestic double last season.
The Uruguay striker, whose outstanding goal tally of 59 goals in 53 matches last season also saw him win the European Golden Shoe award, will officially pen the new deal on Friday.
